First of all a big thank you to all of our customers, wherever in the world you are. In the 2022 our cutomers came from the UK, Ireland, USA, Canada and France, our usual friends from the Netherlands, Germany and Italy being notable absentees and clearly Brexit has not been good for us! Good got that off my chest, okay moving on. What do people want from their old photos ? it is a question that seems to be answered differently as the years change. Well 2023 has started with more negative scanning orders than silde scanning, but with lots of orders for prints from photographs. Last year we saw lots of slide scanning orders with fewer negatives though there were many mixed orders with videos and slides, even 8mm movies being sent in batches.
Today we have four different scanners for 35mm slide and negative scanning, our Nikons being the main equipment but backed up by other excellent machines that provide a good alternative solution and backup. We continue to rely on Epson as our main line photo scanner.
During 2021 we upgraded our cine scanning setup and now have several projectors offering a reasonable cost effective solution. Our video equipment is capable of handling digital vhs, hi-8 and other home video formats.
So 2023 begins well, I feel we are in a good place with our technology and our pricing structure and hope that old customers continue to use and recommend us -most of our work is by recommendation and our good feedback ( thankyou:) ) and we lookforward to serving new customers in the coming year.
